Vitralis

Swap the scroll for stories you'll want to tell.

Why did Athens sentence Socrates to death? How did Hannibal get elephants over the Alps? Over 220 minutes of complete stories, narrated and illustrated, in 5-minute chapters. Every minute is a story told start to finish, so you actually learn something and always have a good one to share.

A whole story, told like a film.

Sound familiar?

You pick up your phone for a minute. Then it's been half an hour.

Clip after clip, and by the end of the day almost none of it stuck. The feed is built to keep you scrolling; helping you remember was never its job.

Vitralis spends those same minutes on one whole story, with a beginning, a middle and an end. In 5 minutes you'll know why Socrates drank the hemlock or how Rome wiped Carthage off the map. And the next time it comes up, you're the one telling the story.

The chapter

A whole story, told like a film.

Painted scenes that move, a score and a narrator who tells it start to finish. Captions light up word by word, so you can follow along even with the sound off.

  • Painted scenes in motion
  • Narration with synced captions
  • Beginning, middle and end in 5 minutes

The home screen

Open the app and your next story is already waiting.

Pick up where you left off, see what was chosen for you and keep an eye on your daily goal and streak. No more scrolling around looking for something to watch.

The quiz

Four questions, and the fact stays with you.

Every chapter ends with a short quiz and each answer explained. That's what makes the story come back when it's time to tell it.

  • Four questions per chapter
  • Every answer explained
  • Retake it anytime
Four questions, and the fact stays with you.

The widget

A line from someone who changed history, on your Home Screen.

Instead of one more notification pulling you back to the feed, a thought from Seneca, Plato or Marcus Aurelius, with the name of who said it. The quote changes every hour, on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen.

  • Small and medium sizes
  • On the Lock Screen too
  • Changes every hour

Why it works

Built so you actually learn, and still remember it later.

  • Hooks you like a video

Layered paintings that move, short video moments, music and narration, full screen. The format that holds your attention, with a story worth your time.

  • The whole story in 5 minutes

Each chapter runs 4 to 5 minutes and goes from the setting to the ending. You finish knowing how it turns out.

  • Narration with synced captions

A narrator tells it while captions light up word by word. Can't play sound? Turn the voice off and read at your own pace.

  • Quizzes that make it stick

Four questions at the end of every chapter, each answer explained. Retake them anytime.

  • Fact kept apart from legend

Every script is fact-checked. When tradition and archaeology disagree, the chapter shows both, so you tell the story right.

  • One story leads to the next

Finished Julius Caesar? The app suggests Cleopatra and the Ides of March. The kind of “just one more” that pays off.

  • A habit that fits your day

Pick 1, 2 or 3 chapters a day. The app tracks your goal and streak and reminds you at the time you choose.

  • English, Portuguese and Spanish

Interface and narration in all three. Switch anytime in Settings.

Your next scroll could be a story.
